What is Youth Apprenticeship?Youth Apprenticeship (YA) is a state-certified work-based learning program overseen by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development—the Northeast Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Consortium (NEWYA) services districts within our region.
Youth Apprenticeship offers high school juniors and seniors a 1- or 2-year work-based learning experience. Youth Apprenticeship connects local students with employers to build a strong future workforce. It also allows students to explore career interests, earn credit and wages, and gain valuable industry experience while working with career coaches and business mentors. |
